Many of us think that our work should speak for itself. But unfortunately for all us introverts the research shows otherwise!

IBM researcher Harvey Coleman found that success breaks down into three areas: 10% Performance. 30% Image. 60% Exposure.

Shockingly, only 10% of your success comes down to your talent and skill.

The other 90%?

30% is image - how people perceive you - your personal brand, your reputation, the impression you make before they've even spoken to you.

60% is exposure - who actually sees you, remembers you and knows you exist.

Meet the photographer who couldn't get a good photo of herself

I'm Rosie. I'm an award-winning professional brand photographer. I shoot celebrity magazine covers, my work's been in Forbes, and I've taught over 11,000 students photography.

So you'd think I'd have loads of great photos of myself, right?

I didn't.

Every time someone asked for a photo of me, I'd scramble trying to find something... anything... that I didn't hate. Which, as a photographer, is not a great look.

When I was visible, enquiries went up. When I wasn't, they dropped through the floor.

What I needed was photos that actually looked like me, not like Hagrid after a heavy Friday night.

So I started asking a different question: what if I could combine everything I knew about professional photography with the simplicity of a phone selfie?

After a LOT of trial and error (and some truly horrifying outtakes), something finally clicked.

I figured out how to take photos on my phone that looked like they came from a professional shoot, and actually looked like me. Once I had the system down, they took minutes, not hours.

That became the Slay Your Selfies method.
